The launch of the IAAF Green Project was announced at a press conference with the participation of representatives from IAAF and LOC as well as Naoko Takahashi, an Athletes’ Ambassador of the Green Project, on 19 February, 2007. During the press conference, the IAAF Green Project was outlined along with a presentation of the project’s logo and messages of Sarah Brightman who is a Green Ambassador for the Green Project, and Koji Murofushi, another Athletes’ Ambassador who supports the Green Project.
